The Emotions Game

The Emotions Game was a group assignment for the Learning Theories class. The objective was to teach children vocabulary about emotions in a fun and interactive way while in a safe environment. It was designed for children aged eight to fourteen that are learning English as a second or foreign language. The main objectives are to teach foundational vocabulary related to emotions by association with pictures, mimics, antonyms and contextualization. It will also enable children to make sense of the world through the development of emotional intelligence.

Our group determined that the best way to teach these children was to use a mix of behaviourism, cognitivist and social learning.
